Who We Are
Lessonry is an educational media company that puts creative learning at the forefront of everything we do. We design video-based learning experiences, lessons, and activities around readers-in-training and those who support them through the process.
OUR FOUNDER
Nathan Smith founded Lessonry in 2018 with the desire to transform classrooms across the country using the creative energy that has become his trademark.
A professional teacher by trade, Nathan spent 15 years in K-12 education developing lessons and strategies that connect with learners and support parents and teachers.
Nathan is a former school founder/principal, filmmaker, ADHD advocate, educational rap artist, and father to 3 amazing kids. He holds a M.Ed in Reading and MS in Educational Leadership.

LessonryTV

FAQs

Lessonry is designed to meet learners where they are. While most of our current songs are geared more towards middle and high school, our lessons and activities range from K-12 and our most loyal fanbase is comprised of elementary and middle school students.
We seek to create an experience where all are invited, whether they are just learning the ropes or looking for a refresher. -
Currently, yes. We do, however, have the frameworks built for math, science, social studies, and life skills curriculum, but we are taking things one step at a time to ensure it's done right.
The more support we receive, the more we can expand our production into other subject areas. -
Lessonry is an educational exploration and design company, not a non-profit organization.
-
Students dislike boring and inflexible curriculum that is forced upon them, and so do parents and teachers. The best way to engage with Lessonry is to consume it first, and use it second.
Watch the videos, break down the song lyrics, play video activities together, and ultimately find what works. We want to be a resource in your home or classroom that complements what you are doing and makes the learning and teaching experience better. The more organic the approach, the better!
